About Us

Linda Fairbanks, RN, I.C.D. is the owner of Harmony by Design, a Feng Shui Consulting and Design company. Harmony by Design has provided consulting and design services to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest, Connecticut, California, Maine and North Carolina. Linda uses a Western approach to Feng Shui focusing on the application of time tested and effective Feng Shui principles and their practical application. She has had recent presentations to The Oregon Massage Therapy Association and the Oregon Real Estate Association and currently serves as a Feng Shui resource to Realtors and Interior Designers in the Portland Metro area. We have recently relocated our office to the Bend area. We will now be able to serve Central Oregon clients. We will continue to work in the Portland area once or twice a month.

Linda has a practiced eye for creating well-balanced environments that compliment a client’s lifestyle and objectives. Most importantly, Linda has created environments that are more than professional designs, but places to live and work that promote harmony, happiness, well being and success.

Linda is a graduate of the Western School of Feng Shui in San Diego, CA, Heritage School of Interior Design in Beaverton, OR and the University of Portland School of Nursing. With over 13 years of healthcare, and project management experience, including quality assurance and improvement, Linda’s focus is on creating healthy homes and business environments that reflect and support client goals. Linda is a member of the International Feng Shui Guild and co-director of the Portland chapter. Current Feng Shui advanced trainings have included teachers such as Terah Kathryn Collins, Denise Linn, Anthony Lawlor and William Spear. Most recently Linda has completed training in the use of Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. Whether people wish to try aromatherapy for relaxation or are currently working with an emotional and/or health issue, therapeutic grade essential oils when used properly, can be a great support in balancing the body, mind and spirit. Linda offers complimentary classes and 1 on 1 consultations to people interested in pursuing this healing modality.

Consultations, lectures and classes are available throughout the United States. Linda recently finished an intensive training with CARE (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education).
